Why do some plants need less water?

For example, if their natural home is the Mediterranean region, the plants are naturally used to being able to cope with less water. 2nd recommendation: Agave
Our second recommendation for indoor plants that need little water is the agave. The name agave is derived from the Greek word agavos , which means noble or magnificent. And that's exactly what the agave plant scores with. With its long, thick leaves, it looks a bit like a plant from earlier times. Unfortunately, the orange-red flower of the agave is quite rare. The plant flowers only every 10-15 years. Then the stalk of the flower grows high, at the end of which the individual small petals grow.

You can't really make any mistakes when caring for the agave plant. Since the plant belongs to the succulents, it needs very little water. Succulents are water-retaining plants that can store water in their leaves, stem or roots over a longer period of time. Therefore, the agave prefers rather dry soil. Watering every one to two weeks is sufficient. You're welcome to place the plant in a spot with plenty of sun, such as a small spot on the south window.
3.Recommendation: Tillandsia
Tillandsia (air plants) are the true artists of the air. They absorb their nutrients from the air alone and do not need potting soil in which to plant them.In their natural habitats, tillandsias live on other plants or on rocks. The soil should only be kept slightly moist. You should also transplant your plant about every three years so that its roots have enough space in the pot again.
